“I started my career with the Santa Maria Police Department (SMPD) in 2014. I took the leap from dispatch and became an officer because the Department offers an array of opportunities and advancements. Growing up in the area, I always felt a desire to give back to the public where I was raised and becoming a Police Officer allows me to do just that. While policing a diversified community like Santa Maria, I am given a unique opportunity to interact with community members from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds. These interactions are opportunities to further my knowledge of the community I am privileged to serve.
